# Grand Theft Auto Font: What the Logo Uses + Free Lookalikes

## Short answer

The Grand Theft Auto logo is set in Pricedown (the original style, now Pricedown Black) by Typodermic Fonts / Ray Larabie, a commercial font.

Pricedown's designer Ray Larabie says Rockstar's New York office used his free Pricedown release, which became linked with Grand Theft Auto.

## What the Lettering Looks Like

Heavy black-weight display letters with tiny rectangular counters and squared-off swashes that drop below the baseline, white with a black outline, stacked Grand / Theft / Auto.
