Frequently Asked Questions
Common inquiries about licensing, browser rendering, and SVG export.
How does SVG vector path export work without font files?
When you export SVG, our in-browser engine uses opentype.js to parse the redistributable TTF font file directly in your browser. It calculates glyph outline coordinates and converts every letter into pure vector path elements (<path d="..."/>). The resulting SVG contains zero font file dependencies and zero <text> tags, making it immediately editable in Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Inkscape, or game engines.
Can I use the exported lettering and logos for commercial games and products?
Yes. Every font available in the FontsLike Studio is released under an open-source licence (SIL Open Font License 1.1, Apache 2.0, Ubuntu Font Licence, or Creative Commons Zero). These licences grant unrestricted rights to use rendered text and letterforms in commercial logos, game UI, merchandise, esports graphics, and video production.
Are my lettering designs or custom text sent to a remote server?
No. All rendering (Canvas 2D and SVG path calculation) runs entirely inside your web browser. Nothing is ever sent to or stored on any server. If you save designs, they reside strictly in your browser's local storage.
How do share links work for AI agents and collaborators?
The full design object (font, styles, outlines, 3D extrusion, glow, and layout parameters) is serialized as compact, base64url-encoded JSON directly into the URL hash fragment (#...). Opening or sharing that URL restores the exact styling and lettering state.
